Watch Your Step: The Men of Eastwood

The second part of a planned three-part series of musical reviews, another step into the history of black poular music celebrating the artists, music and places along the Chittlin Circuit. It is a musical memory of the Eastwood Country Club, the Keyhole Club, and Carver Library Auditrium. Presenting such male artists as Fats Domino, Lou Rawls, The Temptations, Ray Charles, Sam Cooke, Billy Eckstein, Stevie Wonder, Baby Face Edmonds, Luther Vandross, and many more. With great music for everyone it's sure to be another sold-out event.

 

Performances January 13-15 and 20-22, 2017, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m., Sundays at 4 p.m. at the Little Carver Civic Center, 226 N. Hackberry, San Antonio, 78202.

 

Auditions October 15, 2016 at 2 p.m. - please arrive 15 minutes early to sign in

Male singers who can dance needed: in all registers of jazz, blues, gospel, soul and neo-soul vocal styles. Male comedians are also welcoe to audition.
