BY PETER SINN NACHTRIEB | Think this presidential election year, 2016, is nutty? This play is a raucous dark comedy about the state of modern political discourse, modern relationships and how easy it is to believe truths without facts. A laugh-out-loud night at the theatre that will shine a little perspective on the current political campaigns.

CAST DESCRIPTIONS:
THE TOTALITARIANS
FRANCINE: 30s-early 40s. A Speechwriter.
JEFFREY: 30s-early 40s. Francine’s husband. A Doctor.
PENNY: 40s-50s. A candidate. Hypnotizingly watchable.
BEN: 20s. An aspiring revolutionary.
THE DROWNING GIRLS
BESSIE: 20s-30s. A posh, accomplished woman, vulnerable by her youth and distance from her family.
ALICE: 20’s. A young, vibrant, passionate woman who abandoned her values for her criminal husband.
MARGARET: 30s-40s. A desperate, lonely spinster who had given up on love until the wrong man came along.
