The Tempest

THE TEMPEST, Shakespeare’s magical comedy about loyalty and forgiveness is set on a fantastical island paradise and features soldiers, spirits, monsters, and an old duke turned wizard. The Point production set for this October, will be staged in the center of the Stonehenge II.
Auditions for THE TEMPEST
July 16th at 11 AM, directed by Jeff Cunningham Auditions will be this Saturday July 16th at 11am at The Point (inside). We will be reading from the script. Although the show runs October 14th through 29th, we are auditioning this weekend to allow our summer college interns the opportunity to work on some of the more exciting and magical costumes in the show. This will also allow the serious Shakespeare scholars in the cast more time to research and study their roles. We are looking for all types of performers. The roles include the following: ALONSO, King of Naples
SEBASTIAN, his Brother PROSPERO, the right Duke of Milan ANTONIO, his Brother, the usurping Duke of Milan MIRANDA, Daughter to Prospero ARIEL, an airy Spirit CALIBAN, a savage and deformed Slave FERDINAND, Son to the King of Naples GONZALO, an honest old Counsellor ADRIAN, FRANCISCO, Lords TRINCULO, a Jester STEPHANO, a drunken Butler Master of a Ship, Boatswain, Mariners IRIS, CERES, JUNO, Nymphs, Reapers, presented by Spirits Other Spirits attending on Prospero If you are unable to attend on the 16th, please contact us to schedule another audition time.
