The Beauty Queen of Leenane
by Hill Country Arts Foundation (HCAF)

Aug. 22 - Aug. 23 (2015)

Set in the mountains of Connemara, County Galway, Ireland, THE BEAUTY QUEEN OF LEENANE tells the darkly comic tale of Maureen Folan, a plain and lonely woman in her early forties, and Mag, her manipulative aging mother, whose interference in Maureen's first and possibly final chance of a loving relationship sets in the motion a train of events that leads towards the play's terrifying ending.  The perfect show for October!  Directed by Emily and Chris Huber, fresh off their success of JAMES AND THE GIANT PEACH and last October's MACBETH.
