The show’s run dates are from July 10th to August 15th, with performances Thursday through Sunday. Rehearsals are currently scheduled to begin mid-May.
Adults and children 12 years of age and older are invited to audition. ZTP warmly encourages actors of all ethnic/racial backgrounds to audition.
Sign-ups for audition times will be posted on our website on February 21st so stay tuned.

What to Prepare
- Prepare to sing a selection that is 1:00 (one minute) or less in the style of the show (both musical theatre and rock/pop are welcome). It will be in your best interest to use your audition cut to show personality and range.
- Please bring sheet music in the correct key. An accompanist will be provided.
- You may be asked to participate in a dance audition. Please bring appropriate footwear – sneakers, jazz/ballet or character shoes.
- Bring a head shot and résumé if available. Note: Photos may be taken on-site.

Actors will be compensated. Please note that at this time, Zilker Theatre Productions is unable to hire Actor’s Equity Association members. We hope to be able to work out an agreement sometime in the near future.
Zilker Theatre Productions will begin accepting audition requests for this summer’s production of Hairspray on February 21st!
Primary auditions will be held on Saturday & Sunday, March 14th and 15th. Callbacks are scheduled for Saturday, March 21st.
