Drive Me Crazy
by Overtime Theater

Mar. 21 - Mar. 22 (2015)

Becky is the new girl at a DMV office and as she gets to know her lazy co-workers and bizarre clients, she also encounters a nameless fellow worker known only as The Woman, whose apparent insanity is accepted and ignored by everyone else. This zany workplace comedy veers off in a violent twist as events unfold and the characters' true identities are revealed.

Characters Needed:

We are looking for a total of 9 cast members, all of whom need to have a good attitude and a willingness to play along and play well with others. The show features a lot of physical activity, including combat, for the majority of, though not all, characters. Previous experience with stage combat is a plus but not required. There is a wide range of gender and age needs for this show:

  • 1 Man or Woman, 20 +
  • 2 Women, 20 +
  • 1 Woman 25 +
  • 3 Men 25 +
  • 1 Man 18 +

The last female character is known as The Woman (her age is open). In addition to a cold read, any woman wanting to audition for this character should be prepared to display physical agility (like summersaults, dance moves) and to sing. This is not a musical, so you need not sing or dance well, but with enthusiasm. Familiarity with the song "Eye of the Tiger" is encouraged. The Woman is a particularly uninhibited character, given to bizarre behaviors that require utter abandon on the part of the actor playing her. If you don't want to look a bit silly, this isn't the role for you.

Audition/Workshop starts on: 03/21/2015 and Runs Through: 03/22/2015

Auditions are first come, first serve - you do nto need a reservation time.  They are being held from 1-5 pm on Saturday, March 21 & 5-8 pm on Sunday, March 22.  If you cannot make one of those times, please contact us.
