A Midsummer Night's Dream
by City Theatre Company

May. 25 - May. 26

What would Shakespeare sing at karaoke? Step backstage and into the spotlight for A Midsummer Night’s Dream as you’ve never seen - or heard - before! When a young actor stumbles upon a mysterious script, the walls between rehearsal and reality dissolve, unleashing the wild magic of Shakespeare’s words colliding with the pulse of pop music. Fairies harmonize, lovers belt their confusion, and theatre itself becomes the ultimate musical mash-up as backstage rivalries, romances, and dreams burst into full song.

This electrifying reimaging blends Elizabethan poetry with chart-topping anthems, turning Shakespeare’s classic comedy into a high-energy celebration of music, magic, and the transformative power of theatre. Part musical, part love letter to theatre kids everywhere, this Midsummer Night’s Dream proves that whether in iambic pentameter or a pop chorus, the show always finds a way to go on - and to steal your heart.
