Boats The true(ish) history of an 1869 expedition, when a one-armed captain and a crew of insane yet loyal misfits set out to chart the course of the Colorado River. With a gender-bent cast, this innovative plays offers a fresh perspective on the American West and the nature of adventure itself. With humor, heart, and a thrilling narrative, it is unconventional storytelling that creates a unique and thrilling theatrical experience.

No prepared monologue. Sides will be performed and sent before your audition date. Please be familiar with the show and characters, and plan to stay a few minutes after your time as you may audition with others. Please bring headshot, resume, and all possible conflict dates.
ALL-FEMALE CASTING. From the playwright: The characters in MEN ON BOATS were historically cisgender white males. The cast should be made up entirely of people who are not. I'm talking about racially diverse actors who are female identifying, trans-identifying, genderfluid, and/or non-gender conforming. Actors of any race, orientation and expression, ability and age are encouraged to audition.
