You know what dragons really love? Tacos of course! A boy and his dog are watching a TV show about dragons when they unexpectedly get caught up in the ‘Dos and Don’ts’ of what to serve to dragons to eat. Dragons love tacos, but if they accidentally eat spicy salsa…watch out!

Magik Theatre is holding Auditions for adult (18+), non-equity, San Antonio based dancers, actors, and performers for roles in their upcoming production of Dragons Love Tacos.
Audition Date Saturday, May 10th, 2025, 4:30 PM - 7:30 PM
Location: Magik Theatre, 420 South Alamo St, San Antonio, TX 78205
Audition Materials to Prepare: There is no need to come in with prepared materials. In the audition room, you will be asked to move, dance, and improvise. Auditionees will work in small groups, and will be guided to participate in
various physical theater methodologies.
We are particularly looking for performers who are comfortable working in a group setting, who thrive on creative exploration, and who approach the rehearsal room with humility and generosity.
No prior experience is necessary, but any kind of background in physical theater, dance, movement, yoga, martial arts, or acrobatics may be useful.
Observing the auditions will be Anthony Runfola, Director, and Ruthie Buescher, Movement Director.
Audition Attire: Please come dressed in comfortable, loose clothing, such as sweatpants, leggings, t-shirts, and sweatshirts. If you are wearing athletic shorts, bicycle shorts underneath are recommended.

The Child
Quiet and reserved. They are good friends with their dog Leroy.
Leroy
A dog. Good friends with their owner, The Child.
Person In Suit
An adult. They are an eccentric, almost magical tv personality. The keeper of all the secrets about Dragons and their lives. They are manipulative and pushy.
Red Dragon
A dragon. Has a polite and charming personality. (Dance training is a plus)
White Dragon
A dragon. Has an energetic and boisterous personality. (Dance training is a plus)
Blue Dragon
A dragon. Is nervous and clumsy. (Dance training is a plus)
Yellow Dragon
A dragon. Is silly and a trickster. Loves to joke and play around. (Dance training is a
plus)
