Pretty Filthy
by Doctuh Mistuh Productions
Mar. 11 - Mar. 18
This summer, Doctuh Mistuh Productions will present the docu-musical Pretty Filthy as part of its summer season along with a remount of the awarding-winning Lizzie and The Toxic Avenger. This will be the first licensed production of the musical following its successful off-Broadway run with The Civilians in 2015 and a subsequent collegiate production. Pretty Filthy focuses on the adult film industry in L.A.’s San Fernando Valley, where members of The Civilians interviewed porn actors, directors, and agents for two months. With a book by Bess Wohl (Small Mouth Voices) and score by the late Michael Friedman (Bloody, Bloody Andrew Jackson), Pretty Filthy brings the human side of the often maligned and misunderstood world of porn with humor and down-to-earth realism.
