Falsettos
by Ground Floor Theatre
Sep. 03 - Sep. 04
Falsettos is a contemporary musical about family, relationships, bar mitzvahs, baseball and AIDS. When Marvin leaves his wife Trina and son Jason to be with his lover Whizzer, tempers flare, problems escalate and everyone learns to grow up. Falsettos is a sung-through musical with a book by William Finn and James Lapine, and music and lyrics by Finn. Central to the musical are themes of Jewish identity, gender roles, and gay life in the late 1970s and early 1980s.
