After the Fantasy

Weeks after the suspicious and rather sordid deaths of Dr. Moira Haas, her husband Elbert Haas and his lover Shiela Rourke, SHERIFF MILLAR and DEPUTY STEVENSON drop by the Haas estate to finalize a few administrative details on what they believe is a completed investigation.

Then, an afternoon involving missing manuscripts, contested wills, corrupt attorneys, untrustworthy publishers, angry heirs and disappearing graduate students ends in yet more murder, and SHERIFF MILLAR must re-examine old events in order to resolve recent developments.

  • THE ACADEMY IS LOCATED IN THE STRIP MALL BEHIND THE THEATRE, ENTRANCE OFF PLANT ST.
  • All auditions consist of cold readings from the script, unless otherwise noted.
  • Auditions are Sunday and Mondays, 7pm
  • Plan to arrive 10-15 minutes early to fill out the Audition Form or fill out ahead of
    time by clicking the link below. 

AVAILABLE ROLES (3 WOMEN, 4 MEN)

  • Sheriff Dale Millar – Female, late 40s – 60s.  Sheriff of an unnamed US county.
  • Deputy Mike Stevenson – Male, 20s – 30s.  Sheriff Millar’s right hand.
  • Alvin Pilgrim, Esq. – Male, 40s – 60s.  An attorney. Very helpful and annoyingly informative. Pilgrim is in all things meticulous, detail-oriented and pedantic.
  • Leslie De Fazi – Male, late 20s – early 40s.  A publisher/editor/publishing agent (it’s a small company). A driven, slick and somewhat conniving professional, De Fazi is a man on a mission, and he talks fast.
  • David J. Jacobs – Male, mid-40s to 50s or older.  Half-brother and likely (in his mind at least) heir to Dr. Myra Haas. Self-centered, entitled and belligerent.
  • Susan Jacobs – Female, 30s – 50s  David Jacob’s beleaguered spouse. Put-upon, drinks heavily; smart and very sharp-tongued, alternately amused and bemused by her husband’s behavior.
  • Melissa Zamora – Female, 20s.  A youthful, occasionally naive graduate student.  Miss Zamora is a bit of an expert on fantasy and medieval weapons.
