Characters:
Elvis – (to play 20-29) – Actor/singer/guitar player to play Elvis Presley in his 20s, humble and sincere. Should embody the spirit of Elvis but need not be an impersonator. Vocal range: A to C.
Carl Perkins – (to play 20-29) Actor/singer/guitar player (lead guitar) to play Carl Perkins, a pioneer of rockabilly music. Excellent lead guitarist. Vocal range: D to C.
Johnny Cash – (to play 20-29) Actor/singer/guitar player to portray Johnny Cash at the beginning of his musical career. Should sing in the style of Johnny Cash without doing an impression. Vocal range: low D to G#.
Jerry Lee Lewis – (to play 20-29) Actor/singer/pianist. Rock and roll piano prodigy. Superb piano player able to play in the style of Jerry Lee Lewis. Cocky and headstrong. Vocal range: D to D.
Dyanne - (to play 18-29) Great singer with a wide range. Aspiring singer and effervescent. Vocal range: A to D.
Sam Phillips – (to play 30-40) Strong actor. Founder of Sun Records and the man who discovered many of the top figures of rock and roll. Non-singing roll.
Video Auditions
Online submissions sent to employment@tex-arts.org. Please put “Million Dollar Quartet Audition” in the subject line. Auditioners should submit a self-taped monologue and song (minimum 32 bars) in the style of the show. Auditioners interested in the roles of Elvis, Carl, or Johnny, please include footage of a verse and a chorus of a song playing the guitar. Auditioners interested in the role of Jerry, please include footage of a verse and chorus of a song playing the piano. Video submissions to employment@tex-arts.org must be received by Sunday, September 10th.

Important Dates
Potential First Music Rehearsal: Saturday, December 30
First Rehearsal: Tuesday, January 2nd
Tech Rehearsals: Saturday - Sunday, January 13-14
Tech/Dress: Tuesday – Thursday, January 16-18
Opening Night: Friday, January 19
Closes: Sunday, February 11th
Possible extension through February 18th
Performances at 7:30 pm on Fridays and Saturdays, 2 p.m. matinees on Saturdays and Sundays.
Rehearsals will be held weekday evenings from 6:30 – 10:30 pm and during the daytime on weekends at TexARTS in Lakeway. The show will perform at TexARTS.
Payment
Some SPT1 Equity Contracts Available ($255/week)
All nonunion roles are paid a weekly rate ($160-$225/week based on rehearsal hours and performances)
Additional stipends will be provided for actors who play instruments on stage.
