Casting Call! Auditions for City Theatre’s Romeo and Juliet
June 5 - 6, 2023
Monday and Tuesday, 6:30 – 9:30 pm. Ten-minute spots by appointment.
Where: Genesis Creative Collective.1507 Wilshire Blvd. On the campus of Genesis Presbyterian Church.
Needed: No prepared monologue needed, but if you have a short and sweet Shakespeare selection ready, please bring it! Sides will be performed. We will try and send those a few days before your audition date. Please be familiar with the show and plan to stay a few minutes after your time as you may audition with others. Please bring headshot and resume.
This is an open call to all actors and casting all roles. The production will be an ensemble production of ten to twelve actors, possibly playing multiple roles. The title roles will be traditional casting with possible cross-gender casting of all other parts. Show dates July 14 - 30, with rehearsals beginning mid-June. Directed by Andy Berkovsky. Stage combat and fencing experience a plus.
