Follow the yellow brick road in this delightful stage adaptation of L. Frank Baum’s beloved tale, featuring the iconic musical score from the MGM film. The timeless tale, in which young Dorothy Gale travels from Kansas over the rainbow to the magical Land of Oz, continues to thrill audiences worldwide. Dorothy makes some unexpected friends in Oz, a Scarecrow, a Tinman, and a Cowardly Lion! Join Dorothy as she tries to make her way back home to Kansas!


Join us for auditions for The Wizard of Oz, our big summer musical, on April 23rd and 24th from 6:00pm-10:00 pm!

These auditions are open for anyone ages 5 and up! 

For auditions, please be prepared to sing 30-60 seconds of a song in the style of the musical and come dressed to dance. For your song, you can sign acapella, with a prerecorded accompaniment track, or with a karaoke track. We will have a Bluetooth speaker available for you to use or you can bring your own. We will not have an accompanist available during auditions.

For the dance portion, you will be taught a bit of choreography during your audition time slot, so there is no need to prepare a dance in advance.Please note that your audition time slot will actually be 1 hour long.

Roles available:
Dorothy Gale - Dorothy is a young Kansas girl. She is earnest, expressive, and strong-willed. Range: G3-C5
Scarecrow/Hunk - He is plucky and clever in a pinch, even though he lacks a brain. Range Bb2-F#4
Tinman/Hickory- He is desperate for a heart. He is a kind-hearted romantic. Range: Bb2-G4
Lion/Zeke - He has a mix of bravado and cowardice. Range: Bb2-F4
Glinda - Glinda is the Good Witch of the North. Benevolent, beloved, and fierce. Range: G3-C5
Wicked Witch of the West/Miss Gulch - She is your classic villain. She also has comedic moments and a killer cackle.
Aunt Em - Non-Singing. She is stern, but she loves Dorothy.
Uncle Henry - Non-Singing. Dorothy's pleasant uncle.
Emerald City Guard - Strong comic actor with a big presence. Range: Bb2-Eb4
The Wizard of Oz/Professor Chester Marvel - Older father figure with an eccentric flair. Non-Singing
Nikko - Commander of the Flying Monkeys
Ensemble - Roles in the Ensemble Include: Crows, Trees, Ozians, Jitterbugs, Munchkins, Flying Monkeys, Popikins, etc. There are many featured roles among the ensemble.
