The Courage to Stand
by Creative Action

Jan. 13 - Jan. 21 (2023)

(via Creativ Action)

Creative Action’s School-Based Department is seeking a Black/African American performer to play "Alex",one of the Little Rock Nine, the group of students who bravely integrated Little Rock Central High in 1957; in our longest running Interactive Theater Program: The Courage to Stand.

Creative Action's Brave Schools build inclusive school communities through immersive, multi-day Theatre Programs that engage young people in solving real-world problems through roleplay, puppetry, song, and movement. By exploring historical acts of courage, this interactive performance teaches young people to creatively investigate the idea of courage and how to act as a “courageous bystander.” Students learn to examine the choices, risks, and consequences of intervening to help the target in a bullying situation.

 $20 - $22/hr DOE

- Rehearsals to start ASAP and touring begins in February and run until May, Mondays through Fridays between 7am and 2pm (depending on school's schedule). Reliable transportation required.
