About the Schedule
Rehearsals begin at the end of August and will be scheduled around actors’ availability. Performances run September 29 – October 16, 2022 on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at 7:30pm. Rehearsals and performances will be at the Round Rock Amphitheater, 301 W Bagdad Ave, Round Rock, TX 78664.
All 21 roles will be placed in the capable hands of 4 virtuosic actors:
- ACTOR 1: Lysandra (f), Philostrate, Titania, Quince, Mustardseed
- ACTOR 2: Hermia (f), Hippolyta, Puck, Snout, Snug, Starveling, Cobweb
- ACTOR 3: Helenus (m), Theseus, Bottom, Mote
- ACTOR 4: Demetrius (m), Egeus, Oberon, Flute, Peaseblossom
Penfold Theatre is seeking performers who read as 25 to 40 years old of all genders, body types, and racial identities. Must be comfortable rehearsing and performing outdoors. All cast members will receive a stipend of $600.
Auditions will be held on Monday, June 6th between 6 pm and 10 pm at the Austin Cinemaker Space, 2200 Tillery St, Austin, TX 78723. Complete this online form to request a 5 minute audition time.
Actors will be asked to perform a 1-minute comedic monologue from a Shakespearean play. Please bring a copy of your headshot and resume. If you would like to audition but you are not available on June 6th, please complete the online form. We will notify you directly if there are other opportunities to audition.
