The Reverend Paul(i) Murray
by Overtime Theater
Apr. 29 - Apr. 30 (2022)
Pauli Murray's queerness is brought to the forefront of her identity as Kalina, a student, questions her professor's assessment of a recent essay that she wrote for his class. However, when Kalina's essay-version of Pauli is confronted with Pauli, herself, Kalina is forced to ponder the many ways that by upholding Murray's legacy she is denying Murray of her humanity.
ABOUT THE PLAYWRIGHT: Ada A. is an early-career playwright who graduated from the University of Chicago with a B.A in anthropology. Currently, Chicago-based, she is working on cultivating and honing a voice unique to her.
