Christmas Chums
by Overtime Theater

Oct. 24 - Oct. 28 (2021)

Christmas Chums is based on the unofficial Christmas Day truce between British and German soldiers during WWI. The play takes place on Christmas Night, 1914. When young British soldier Timmy McDougall runs from the trenches onto the battlefield to escape the misery of war, he is surprised by Barney Luntz, a young German soldier. The two peacefully set their weapons aside in honor of the holiday. Soon, British and German soldiers leave their trenches and embark upon a ceasefire in which they sing carols, exchange gifts, and share stories.

(Note: this script is not the same as "All Is Calm.")
