The Last Five Years

Jason Robert Brown’s The Last Five Years is an emotionally powerful and intimate musical about two New Yorkers who fall in and out of love over the course of five years. The show’s unconventional structure consists of Cathy, the woman, telling her story backwards while Jamie, the man, tells his story chronologically; the two story lines meet once, at their wedding in the middle of the show.

We’re looking for two actors with excellent vocal range and stamina to create this amazing production. Our rehearsals will via zoom and in person with mindful care toward safety of actors and crew. The Last 5 Years will be performed before a live audience, while carefully observing social distancing. There will be a virtual viewing option for guests who cannot attend in person.

If you plan to audition, please attend our Audition Workshop on Friday March 12th at 6:30 pm 

Come to the workshop prepared to sing a modern Broadway song. (A song from The Last Five Years is great, but not necessary). Please also prepare a short monologue.

Attendance at the audition workshop Friday is not mandatory, but encouraged as we’ll be reading sides from the show, delving into the parts and giving feedback on performance.

Auditions will be held Tuesday, March 16th, 2021.

For the audition, please prepare a Broadway song which shows your range. Please also prepare a short monologue.
