Voices Matter

Voices Matter is a short play and music fest. With 3 plays and music between the plays. The plays focus on the following topics so it may not be a good fit for some actors. This project is mainly for those who are passionate about raising awareness to these topics and want to offer education to the audience. The show focus is on these topics: Social Issues, Education System, Child Abuse, Domestic Violence, Mental Health, Disabilities and Learning Disabilities such as Dyslexia.Please note that SAFE Austin will be attending the show for a Q&A with cast/crew and audience after the show. Where everyone can share there feelings on the plays subject matters and know there voices matter.

Role-
Husband-one male actor 20's- 30's for a drama; this character is kind, compassionate, understanding, patient, loves his wife in spite of her flaws; he is sensitive, yet bold; he wants to have a baby with his wife; his wife has been through some trauma in life and with the pandemic of Covid-19 she is afraid to bring a child into this world and wants them to stop trying to get pregnant; she is afraid of the world; the husband isn't afraid of the world so his role is crucial to showing that there's goodness in this world.

For auditions-
*To make it easier on everyone we are doing zoom auditions this weekend and next week to do a read through with me for the auditions. Must read the full script a head of time before audition. As this play require a bit of character prep for the actors. We will do 1-2 read through of full script taking about a hour per person. Let me know what you think and if you want me to set up a time. *

Casting theatre non union actors for "Voices Matter," a non paid but $100 stipend end of the show and professional reel footage from live show.
Note: Non union. Opportunity for those looking to grow as an artist and work with fellow artists who truly love art. Zoom video chat Rehearsals start end of February through April 15th for 6 weeks. Starting April 15th till the show June 4th for 6 weeks we will do in person blocking rehearsals at the theatre. Both Zoom video chat rehearsals and in person blocking rehearsals require 2 Mandatory 2 hours rehearsals twice a week around on a flexible schedule. Will do rehearsals around you and co stars schedules. This is a great creative opportunity to focus on your craft as an artist.
Looking for ONE Male actor for my June 4th 2021 theatre show called "Voices Matter" with my company Creative Collaborations.
Rehearsal and Production Dates & Locations
Please note the stage on the theatre is 15 feet from the audience with plenty of room to safely do the play at a social distance. The cast size is 2 people pre short play. The audience will be social distance as well and required to wear there mask during the show. The theatre only fits 90 people and has a VIP area to sit completely away from people. So we would only fill it to 25 to 50 percent compacity depending on what the regulations are for that time. We Will also have the show as a live stream show. We as a company have a great track record of having safe social distance shows in keeping the cast and audience safe. There will be the night of the show June 4th 2021 a hand washing station with hand sanitizer and extra masks for those who need them. Also disinfectant wipes. The day of the show we disinfect the entire theater before the cast/crew and audience arrive. This show is a very safe and small show.
