Announcing auditions for roles in an original play
featuring a multi-ethnic cast of all ages, including
lively seniors. Las Lavanderas is a bilingual play
based in history. Set in the mid-19th century, it pays
tribute to the strong women who were a key group in the
economic development of their time -- and a force to be
reckoned with!

Production will combine live music, dance, and
community theater, to bring awareness of often-forgotten
elements from Puerto Rico's rich history and heritage.

Lead roles include a multi-ethnic cast including
three females and three males (20's-30's preferred but
open to any age), including one female that screams leadership,
one lively senior, one athletic male, and many supporting
roles of all ages.

Community Theatre rehearsals will meet Wednesdays, 6-9pm,
starting September 18, 2019.

Puerto Rican Culture Center (south side entrance of building)

Please bring one 2 minute monologues, dramatic or comedic
(suitable for all ages). May also be asked to do a cold reading
from the script. Knowledge of Spanish a plus, but not required.
