For more than 40 years, Esther’s Follies in Austin, Texas has been entertaining sold-out audiences with political satire, comedy sketches, Vegas-style magic and hilarious musical numbers. Esther’s has been hailed as “Austin’s answer to Saturday Night Live,” with sharp insightful comedy performed by talented actors, entertainers and musicians.

 

 

Esther's Follies Now Casting! 

This is a weekly, LIVE comedy and variety show in Austin, TX. They would love someone who could start at the end of September, but there is some flexibility with that! Let us know if you'd need a later start date.

Rate: Starts at $400 week, doe

We are seeking male & female performers with comedic experience and singing ability (we don't need a Broadway quality voice, just great energy!) 

We are specifically seeking actors who can jump right into our cast and learn the material quickly. The show is funny, fast-paced and always changing. Must be available to perform, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, with rehearsals Tuesdays and Wednesdays 12-3pm. Please send your resume and head shot to be considered for an audition.

Talent must be available to perform, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturday evenings (shows at 8pm Thursday and both 8p and 10p Friday and Saturday). Rehearsals are Tuesdays and Wednesdays 12-3PM.

ROLES:

[MALE PERFORMER](ages 25-55) - Male performer with comedic experience and singing ability! (We don't need a Broadway quality voice, just great energy!) Must have theatre and/or musical theatre experience. Comedy experience also a plus. Performers who can write sketch comedy are highly desirable as well.

[FEMALE PERFORMER](ages 25-55) - Female performer with comedic experience and singing ability! (We don't need a Broadway quality voice, just great energy!)
