Legend pf Sleepy Hollow is a multi-disciplinary creation of broad comedy, extreme special effects, gender-swapping, and frightening storytelling. Performed as a long one-act, it is a fall cornucopia of atmospheric & sensory materials for actors and audiences.

Nuncrackers celebrates the Christmas season with slightly off-center antics appropriate to the nuns of Mount St. Helen’s Convent and selected students. This musical comedy sequel to the blockbuster Nunsense requires singing and dancing skills for five women, one man and four young actors.

Dracula revisits the music and comedy of the Vaudeville history familiar to the BOH. Three men, three women and two bats sing and dance with bloody serious storytelling in this fast-moving tour-de-force. The asylum rocks in full moon revelries.

Newsies, a Disney musical, is the BOH 120th anniversary show honoring the newsboys who went on strike when Hearst raised the price on the papers. A large cast of young performers, bellicose characters for adult actors, and high-energy production numbers pave the way to child labor laws.

Helium is a poignant comedy of a family: a daughter with two sons, who with the aid of a loving caregiver and a challenged teen, address the Alzheimer’s disease of Mrs. Kingsley. Her flights of the mind are demanding on all, but their journeys are unforgettable in frustration, tolerance, and love’s discoveries.

This is a season of vibrant storytelling in entertaining theatre productions.
