Auditions for a role in Sukey, the Mermaid, and Tales from the Gullah Islands with whatsinthemirror? on Jun 13.
Whatsinthemirror? is pleased to collaborate in bringing Sukey, The Mermaid, and a Tale from the Gullah Islands, a devised theatre show by Tarik Daniels and Robert King Jr.
Auditions are being held Wednesday, June 13, 2018 6:30 p.m.at Delores Duffie Recreation Center (Rosewood Rec Center) 1182 N Pleasant Valley Rd, Austin, TX 78702.

This play is apart of The Arts, Creativity, & Mental Health Initiative which is led by "Write What's Right", our theatre project that incorporates various topics such as bullying and mental health awareness for children, teens, and young adults. We held bi-weekly workshops that were led by local Austin professionals/artists since January 2018.
Whatsinsthemirror? is a 501c3 social movement that provides suicide and mental health awareness and prevention through art and advocacy to people of color by outreaching in the communities where educational resources of mental health are limited with the use of canvassing and theatre art performances and using social media presence to establish the need of love, care, and respect to change the lasting stigma of mental health, with the ultimate goal of saving as many lives as possible.
This project is supported in part by the Cultural Arts Division of the City of Austin Economic Development Department.
