The Public Theater of San Antonio is looking for local submissions in the greater San Antonio/Austin/Houston and Dallas area for our 2018-2019 Season productions of Rent and Once. Please submit only if you have read the character descriptions thoroughly and meet our requirements. Auditions for ONCE will be on June 5 and RENT will be June 6. We are looking only for the roles below. AEA will be considered for ONCE. If you cannot attend please submit your headshot, resume and video audition to be considered to auditions@thepublicsa.org.

Billy: Male, 30-49
a large Irish man. Owner of the music store where Girl plays piano. Loud, funny and protective of Girl but also has a vulnerability. A big man with a big personality and a big heart; looks like a tough guy; tries to be one, but can't quite pull it off.
Must sing and play guitar well. Must have a strong Irish accent. Baritone

male, 50s-60s, Irish, Guy’s father, owns a vacuum repair shop. A man of few words, but a lovely and caring father. Must have a strong Irish accent.
