LOLA (Local Opera Local Artist) Actor Audition

LOLA is holding auditions for the new role of the Narrator/Bernice (spoken) in a production of Mozart's  La Clemenza di Tito.  Bernice is a Jewish queen, widow of Herod Agrippa, whom Tito brings to Rome with every intention of marrying.  However, due to Tito's subjects rejection of another "eastern temptress" they both agree not to marry so that Tito can have a Roman empress. We will be using Bernice to move us through the musical numbers of the opera instead of the traditional recitative. 

Rehearsals are Feb 5, 2018 - Feb. 28, 2018.  Performances March 1, 2, & 4, 2018. 

WHO: Non-Caucasian females, ages 35 - 60. 

WHEN: Thursday, December 7th 6:00 - 9:00pm

             Sunday, December 10th 10:00am - 2:00pm

WHERE: The Armstrong Community Music School (404 Camp Craft Rd, Austin, TX 78746).

Please prepare a one minute classical monologue.  Also be prepared to do a cold reading that we will provide at the time of the audition.
