HEX
A Witchy Romantic Comedy by Emily Fitzgerald

The quiet, magical life of witch sisters Rowan and Holly is changed forever when they take the forbidden step of transforming a toad into a man. This one illicit act leads to another ill-advised spell and eventually a deadly confrontation with their fairy godmother. This is a fast-paced romantic comedy with a supernatural twist, so celebrate the spookiest season with a show where you won’t see the end, or one-liners, coming. From the writer/director of Creatures of the Night comes another story of things better left to the dark.

Auditions Saturday, August 26 from 2 p.m.; Sunday, August 27, until 5 p.m.

EXTENDED to Monday, August 28m 6 - 9 p.m.

Cast:

Rowan Goody, a witch and sister of Holly (F, 18+)
Rowan is the older, stricter, sterner of the sisters. She’s a powerful witch and one who usually follows the rules.

Holly Goody, a witch and sister of Rowan (F, 18+)
Holly is the younger, sweeter, cuter of the sisters. She’s just as powerful as her sister, but impulsive and more devil-may-care.

Teddy, a young man, lover of Holly (M, 18+)
Teddy is a funny, cute smart-ass who adds male charm to the sisters’ cabin.

Beverly, a young woman, lover of Rowan (F, 18+)
Bev is a no-nonsense predator with a taste for fresh venison and mead and a take-no-prisoners attitude. Her Achilles heel is a bad case of arachnophobia.

Leah, Rowan and Holly’s Fairy Godmother (F, 25+)
This is not Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother. Fairies are extremely powerful magical entities and Leah is not in the least bit happy about the shenanigans the sisters have gotten up to.

Please note: Rowan and Bev & Holly and Teddy are romantic couples. While most of their sexual activity is relegated off-stage, some cuddling and kissing is required by the text, including same-sex in the case of Rowan and Bev. If you don’t like other people in your personal space, or are inexperienced with such interactions on stage, these roles probably aren’t for you.

Also seeking a theatrically experienced, organized, and readily available person to act as Assistant Stage Manager and possibly as a Board Op as well.
