A burlesque adaptation of a stripped-down fairy tale by award-winning burlesque performer Jade Esteban Estrada (Tales of a Hard Nut, Eat Me, How Burlesque Stole Christmas).
The Overtime Theater is seeking talented performers for their upcoming production of “Sinderella.”
The production will run August 18-19, 2017 at 8pm with a 10:30 pm show on Friday at the Overtime Theater. We are currently seeking actors, singers, dancers and specialty acts for the following roles:
Sinderella, 18-35, must have a strong dance and burlesque background,
Wicked Stepsisters, 18-65, singing and dance experience preferred
Evil Stepmother, must have great comic timing
Prince Charming, 18-45
Fairy Godmother, 18-65
Ensemble, 18-65
Note: All performers must be comfortable with striptease and choreography. All body types, genders and ethnicities are encouraged to audition. Drag performers welcome. Rehearsals will take place off-site on weekday evenings. Unpaid rehearsals and performances, however, tips are collected after each performance, then split with the cast at the end of the run.
Auditions will be from 5-8 pm Sunday, July 23, 2017 and from 6-8 pm Monday, July 24, 2017 at The Overtime Theater located at 5409 Bandera Road, Suite 205 in San Antonio, Texas.
Singers must prepare 32 bars of a ballad and an up-tempo to be sung a cappella, actors must prepare two contrasting monologues (1 min each) and dancers will be taught a combination.
