Maggie Dunleavy summons her lovably dysfunctional family to celebrate her 75th birthday. When they gather, so do their resentments and suspicions of each other. Through a series of hilarious encounters and cutting confrontations, all manage to shed unneeded baggage and move into a new appreciation of who they are, where they come from, and where they are headed.

Audition Dates and Times

Saturday January 14th from 1 to 4 pm
Callbacks will be Tuesday, January 17th from 7 to 9.


Run Dates: March 31st – April 29th, 2017

Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 pm, Sundays at 3:00 pm

Men and Women needed to fulfill the following roles:

MAGGIE DUNLEAVY: The Matriarch of the Dunleavy Family. She once was a “white team” Mouseketeer on The Mickey Mouse Club. (The Mouseketeers who never were used.)

KAREN DUNLEAVY: Maggie’s daughter, an ex-nun, who was recently invited by the archbishop to leave the convent.

BETTY: Karen’s AA sponsor. She is a truth seer and sayer. While her name is Betty, she prefers to be called Aspara.

LORETTA: Maggie’s ex-daughter in-law. She’s broke. She’s spent everything she received in her divorce settlement on QVC, on-line dating, and cruises.

JACKY DUNLEAVY: Maggie’s son is a Classics Professor at a Colorado college that’s going bankrupt.

HEATHER: Jacky’s newer younger wife is an Irish Band Drummer turned writer. She un-nerves people when they realize she records/writes down everything they say/do.

Audition Requirements

Please come prepared to cold read sides. Monologues are encouraged but not required.
