As part of our commitment to reach new audiences, the Classic Theatre of San Antonio has formed a collaboration with San Antonio-based Archetype Theatrical Consultants to present POP!, a series of free, 30-minute pop-up theatre performances around the city.
These one-night-only, dynamic, entertaining and educational shows are written and performed by top-notch professional artists who live and work in San Antonio.
July 14’s show is a modern comedy, heavily influenced by the style of classic Commedia dell’arte and scenarios from the 17th century.
POP! features the innovative work of: Christie Beckham, Matthew Byron Cassi, Allie Perez, Tyler Keyes, Hunter Wulff, Julya Jara, John Boyd and more to be announced.
Archetype Theatrical Consultants was founded in 2015 by prolific and multi-award-winning theatre artists Christie Beckham, Matthew Byron Cassi and Allie Perez to awaken San Antonio audiences through provocative and relevant theatrical experiences.

The inaugural performance of POP will be held at Main Plaza, with support from our friends, the Main Plaza Conservancy. Beverages will be available for purchase at the near-by Blue Star Brewing Company kiosk.
