Mad world! mad kings! mad composition! - II.i
What makes a king fit to rule? His right? His cunning? His resolve to do whatever it takes? His resolve not to? This unique, stand-alone history play seeks answers to these questions as King John confronts King Louis of France over the throne of England. After battles, family betrayals, interventions of the church, and two drowned armies, all who survive are left to contemplate what supremacy means in a world governed only by the rules of mortality.
