How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying
by Archangel Community Theatre
Jul. 24 - Aug. 03, 2014
A satire of big business and all it holds sacred, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying follows the rise of J. Pierrepont Finch, who uses a little handbook called “How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying” to climb the corporate ladder from lowly window washer to high-powered executive, tackling such familiar but potent dangers as the aggressively compliant “company man,” the office party, backstabbing co-workers, caffeine addiction and, of course, true love.
Winner of the 1962 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying melds wit, comedy, and romance together to perfection.
With a virtual “who’s who” list of Austin musical theatre performers, this production features Andrew Cannata as J. Pierrepont Finch, Haley Smith as Rosemary Pilkington Scott Shipman as JB Biggley, Laura Powell as Miss Jones, Kirk German as Bud Frump, Jose Villereal as Mr. Twimble, Scotty Roberts as Mr. Bratt and Jeanette Cannata-Grahmann as Smitty working alongside students selected for a pre-professional theatre training experience.
