Roving Shakespeare presents Henry VI Part 2 as part of the Roving Ren Show series, which uses a shortened rehearsal period and Shakespeare's staging conditions to create a vibrant, novel feeling for audiences.
Using no directors or designers, the Roving Ren Show rehearses for approximately 30 hours over the course of 5 days. Taking cues from the American Shakespeare Center in Staunton, Virginia, as well as scholarship on early modern staging conditions, the Roving Ren Shows seek to create a lively atmosphere for the performance of Shakespeare's plays.
