SALVAGE VANGUARD THEATER invites you to say GOODBYE MANOR RD
Come and say farewell to the Salvage Vanguard Theater (SVT) Manor Rd arts venue.
The SVT Manor Rd venue has hosted countless Austin creative’s over the past 10 years. It has been home to puppeteers, filmmakers, comedians, yogi’s, dancers, visual artists, and theater makers. A community will mourn as it says goodbye to a venue that holds a special place in many of our memories.
At 6 pm the band The Azmaris, courtesy of Church of the Friendly Ghost NMASS Festival, will serenade your sorrows.
There will be pizza, to help you eat your feelings.
There will be beer, for you to cry in.
Salvage Vanguard Theater was founded in 1994 and has, since its inception, been producing high quality experimental theater. After the doors close on their Manor Rd home, SVT will continue to produce fresh, exciting, offbeat performance offerings. Its what they do! This summer the SVT team will be taking their feminist farce Guest by Courtesy to Brooklyn for a two week run hosted by the Brooklyn Yard. In the fall of 2016 the company will premiere WITH GREAT DIFFICULTY ALICE SITS by Hannah Kenah, and directed by Jenny Larson, and in the spring of 2017 we will remount critically acclaimed THR3E ZISTERS by Lola Pierson- both shows at the OFFCenter here in Austin. Stay tuned for more about the 2016-17 season...
