Bob, A Life in Five Acts
by Half & Half Productions
Jun. 19 - Jun. 28, 2014
Half and Half Productions (Passing Strange, Chicago) continues its 2014-2015 Season with Peter Sinn Nachtrieb's BOB: A Life in Five Acts, directed by Joshua Denning, and performed by local Austin actors Jacob Roberts-Miller, Jim Roberts-Miller, Kelly Matthews, Jeff Britt, Doug Costello, Victoria Harrison, Cohen Lewis-Hill, Ben Dickerson, and Emerald Farrel.
Winner of the 2010 Barrie and Bernice Stavis Award from the National Theatre Conference, this rags-to-riches-to-fame-to-fall-to-legacy-to-the-love-of-living-life tale follows Bob on an epic journey in just five acts. Written by the author of Boom, the most produced play in America in 2010, BOB is the hilarious and poignant story of one man’s dream. A dream of greatness. The Greatness of Bob. A fast-paced comedy with nine actors playing more than 30 characters, BOB is a comedic but honest look at America today, and our distinctively American dream of achieving "greatness" — in whatever way we can, and at whatever cost.
