At this critical juncture in our nation’s history, one voice that still drowns in the political pool is the voice of the black woman. So, 6 black women set out to honor the beauty and complexities, heal the trauma, and highlight the joy of what it means to be a black woman in America today. These amazing brave performers shatter and redefine the stereotypes of black women today through song, vignettes, spoken word, modern dance, and jazz aesthetic gesture work.
As Zora Neal Hurston stated "black woman is de mule uh de world, so fur as Ah can see". Or as Malcolm X stated "the most unprotected individual in America today is the black woman!"
