Am I Invisible
Apr. 12, 2014
Am I Invisible, a new project working to create theatre with Austin’s homeless population, is pleased to announce its first public performance: April 12, 2014 at Edens Youth Center.
As the first group of its kind in Austin, Am I Invisible uses theater to transform personal experiences of homelessness into performance. Our company aspires to bring our audience an unmediated story of homelessness, told by those who are experiencing it via original monologues and short films. The company believes that theater is a powerful tool to promote civic dialogue and social change, in both the homeless and non-homeless communities of Austin.
The first performance starts on Sunday April 12, 2014, at 3 p.m .in Eden’s Youth Center. St. David’s Episcopal Church and the Trinity Center have very generously donated our performance space. The Trinity Center is located at 304 E 7th St, just up the street from the Austin Resource Center for the Homeless [ARCH]. The performance is free for the community to attend, and recommended for ages 10 and up.
