The Importance of Being Earnest
by Crystal Sea Drama Company
Feb. 27 - Mar. 08
Fridays-Sundays
Two young men and two young women try to navigate their families’ Victorian-era expectations of courtship, all the while engaging in a battle of wits. When the young men’s names and egos collide, the pair get caught up in romantic snafus and mistaken identities, while the young women slide from bosom friends to sworn enemies and back again. Oscar Wilde called his play a “trivial comedy for serious people.” It reveals the absurd lengths people will go to for love and acceptance and is considered a comedic classic. Suitable for all ages.
CSDC alumna Julianna Martin, directs Oscar Wilde’s classic comedy of manners.
