Pastores, angels, devils, the baby Jesus - you know the story, right? Us too, or so we thought until everything goes wrong and we call on you, the Austin community, for help! Learn about this traditional Mexican folk play that is performed every year around Christmastime and participate in the retelling of the journey of the pastores or “shepherds.”
Teatro Vivo, in collaboration with the Emma S. Barrientos Mexican American Cultural Center, presents our annual performance of “La Pastorela!”
Pastores, ángeles, demonios, el niño Jesús... ¿Conoces la historia, verdad? Nosotros también, o eso creíamos hasta que todo sale mal y necesitamos de la ayuda de la comunidad de Austin. Conoce esta obra tradicional mexicana que se presenta cada año en épocas Navideñas y participa en el relato del viaje de los pastores.

Getting to the Asian American Resource Center (AARC)
By car from US 183 N, exit Cameron Road. Turn right onto Cameron, go past Rutherford Lane, and the AARC will be on your right. From US 183 S, turn left on Cameron Road. Go past Rutherford Lane, and the AARC will be on your right.
By bus, there are nearby stops for bus lines 10 and 325. If you need to cross Cameron Road, please note that the nearest crosswalks are at the light at Cross Park Drive and at Rutherford Lane.
Parking is available onsite for this event. If the AARC lot is full, overflow parking is also available at the Austin Police Department Recruiting building that is next to the center and a short walk away. You can turn into the lot on Cameron Road.

En coche desde la US 183 N, salga en Cameron Road. Gire a la derecha en Cameron, pase Rutherford Lane y el AARC estará a su derecha. Desde la US 183 S, gire a la izquierda en Cameron Road. Pase Rutherford Lane y el AARC estará a su derecha.
