Based on Kressmann Taylor’s bestselling novel, written as an anti-fascist warning and banned in 1930s Germany, Address Unknown tells the story of one friendship, one love, and one betrayal. Two lifelong friends run an art gallery in America, but when Martin returns to his native Germany and Max remains in San Francisco, their correspondence reveals the growing tension and tragedy of a world in turmoil. In an era of austerity, recession, and rising nationalism, loyalty and conscience collide, tearing apart a friendship and two families forever.

This deeply human story is directed by Justin O’Brien, who made his Unity directorial debut with Dancing Lessons and was most recently seen on the Main

Stage as Charlie Baker in The Foreigner. The two-person cast features John Dunn (The Foreigner, See How They Run) as Martin Schulse and Brad Goertz (The Game’s Afoot, Fruitcakes) as Max Eisenstein.

The creative team includes Charlotta Sisco (Costume Design), Ryan Eisworth (Sound Design), Alan Will (Stage Manager), and Naomi Hill (Assistant Stage Manager).

Don’t miss this moving story of friendship, choices, and the distance that can grow between us.
