A fundraiser featuring a one-evening performance showcasing the work of first-time puppetmakers in a Trouble Puppet Workshop in Building and Performance. Exploring elements of American Blood Song, Trouble Puppet's 2019 operetta on the tragic saga of the Donner Party, this production focuses on the experience of a young girl in a harrowing crossing of the Great Plains and the grim fate awaiting her wagon train in the Sierra Nevada mountain range.
The performance will be roughly 30 minutes, followed by a Q&A with members of the Workshop discussing their experience of puppetry, and writer/director Connor Hopkins, Artistic Director and Janitor of Trouble Puppet Theater Company.
