Our spring show Lend Me A Tenor, winner of 3 Tony Awards and 4 Drama Desk Awards, is set in 1934 as Henry Saunders, the General Manager of the Cleveland Grand Opera Company, is ready to welcome world-famous singer Tito Merelli for his starring role in Pagliacci. Alas, Tito arrives late, his tempestuous wife Maria has a fit of jealousy, and it remains to be seen whether Saunders’ mousy but determined assistant, Max, can save the day!

The role of TITO MERELLI (world-renowned opera tenor, and notorious “ladies man”) will be played by Henry de la Garza.
The role of HENRY SAUNDERS (The Cleveland Grand Opera’s quick-tempered general manager) will be played by Damon Wallace.
The role of MAX (the long-suffering assistant to Saunders) will be played by Silas Moores.
The role of BELLHOP (who has an ongoing feud with Saunders and is an obnoxious opera fan) will be played by Steve Watkins.
The role of MARIA MERELLI (Tito’s “Italian tempered” wife) will be played by Jane Brewer.
The role of MAGGIE SAUNDERS (the daughter of Henry—and Max’s girlfriend…who is smitten with Tito) will be played by Laura Beth Bodensteiner.
The role of DIANA (the opera’s seductive lead soprano, who is “fighting her way” to the top) will be played by Christina Cooper.
The role of JULIA (Chairwoman/Grande Dame of the Cleveland Opera Guild) will be played by Pearlie Rowland.
The STAGE MANAGER for the show will be Hannah Shaw.
The COSTUME & PROP MISTRESS will be Laura Hanson.
The SOUND & LIGHTING TECH will be Scott McDonald.
