¡Hola Teatristas! We are very excited to share with you all an update on the 2021 Latinx New Play Festival showcasing new plays to our Austin, TX audiences. Every year we bring you four new plays by new and emerging playwrights and seasoned folks in the field.
Without further ado, we present the 2021 Austin Latinx New Play Festival Lineup:
May 13th, 2021:
“Machine Learning” by Francisco Mendoza (Thursday, 7 PM)
May 14th, 2021:
“This Bitch: Esta Sangre Quiero” by Adrienne Dawes (Friday, 7 PM)
May 15th, 2021:
“Have to Believe We Are Magic” by Sara Guerrero, young adult themes, some adult language and content (Saturday, 3PM)
“Los Pochos” by Herbert Siguenza (Saturday, 7PM)

Traditionally we bring this showcase live from the Mexican American Cultural Center in Austin, but for the second year in a row, we will be presenting the festival virtually. While we continue to miss the magical nature of live theatre, we are excited to to be able to feature and share this work with as many folks from around the country that normally would not have been able to join us. With that, please stay tuned for more information as we get closer to the festival dates in May.
