As performance spaces close, Austin's musical theatre community has fewer chances to perform or get together. I'm hoping to make this a friendly, informal setting for people to try out new songs and meet others. If this first event goes well, I'll try to host more regularly.

Open Call: A Showtune Open Mic Night
Thanks for your interest! The first half of the evening will be online sign-ups in advance. Then we'll take a break and the remaining slots will be available on a first come, first served basis the night of Feb. 11. Please only sign up for ONE singer slot and try to keep your song to five minutes or less so that others have a chance to perform. You MAY sign up to sing as a duet or a group if you prefer that to a solo. Please bring sheet music for your song in the correct key.
Austin Kimble will play piano. There is a $10 singer fee so that we can pay Austin for his time. You can pay the fee via Venmo (Susan-Taylor-39), PayPal (susanejohnston AT gmail) or cash or check on the night of the event.
