This American theatre classic explores the alternatives that might spring from the demented terrain of the California landscape through the sons of a desert dwelling alcoholic when they clash over a film script. Austin, the achiever and screenwriter, is house-sitting for their mother when he is confronted by his brother Lee, a petty theif and criminal, who has also returned home. The conflict between brothers is a simmering drama with splashes of dark comedy in which their idea of themselves and each other are challenged.
