Will’s War is a play by William Wayne Windle based on his grandmother Janice Woods Windle’s book of the same name. It is a dramatic play recounting the tribulations and trial of Will Bergfeld in pre-World War I America as a first-generation son of German immigrants in Central Texas.
This is a true story. The courtroom dialogue was taken word for word from the trial transcripts. Janice Woods Windle is also the bestselling author of True Women and Hill Country.
Directed by: Karen Arthur (Emmy Award Winner), director of the True Women TV miniseries starring Angelina Jolie, Dana Delaney, Powers Booth, Michael York, Tina Majorino. (Hart to Hart, Remington Steele, Cagney and Lacey)
