ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT TO THE MANAGING DIRECTOR. Part-time Assistant to the CFO of a professional, nonprofit theater. Qualifications: Administrative/Office experience. Familiarity with Quickbooks, strong communication and organizational skills. High proficiency with computers, Excel, MS Word. Social Media skills a plus. Ability to work a flexible schedule (between 10 am – 6 pm, Monday-Friday.) Works on time and to a high standard. Strong time-management and critical thinking skills. Experience and/or strong interest in theater is a plus. Part-time; 15 hours per week.
TECHNICAL ASSISTANT Qualifications: Ability to organize and execute set up and take down for front of house activities at performances and special events. Experience in greeting the public required. Working with volunteers preferred. Must have own transportation. Varied schedule will require some weekends and evenings. Works on a monthly retainer; some months will be busier than others.
EDUCATION COORDINATOR Qualifications: Excellent phone and marketing skills. Ability to establish relationships with educators, book education programs and visit schools in person. Familiarity with AISD and Austin-area public and private schools preferred. Background with educational theater a plus. 10 hours per week.

Austin Shakespeare is now in its 31st year of presenting theatrical productions and education programs that focus on the work of William Shakespeare and other classical authors. The company produces 2-3 times each year at The Rollins Studio Theatre of The Long Center for the Performing Arts and is known for its annual Free Shakespeare in Zilker Park, an Austin tradition every May. Young Shakespeare, our teen company, performs in a professionally-produced show at The Curtain Theatre, Austin’s replica of an Elizabethan Theatre, each June.
