Audition Requirements:
Actors auditioning must be at least 16 years of age or older.
Actors will have a TOTAL OF TWO MINUTES to audition, which shall be strictly enforced. You may choose how to best utilize your audition time.
For example, you could perform two short contrasting monologues, or one longer monologue of a contrasting nature (ie., serious/comic or classic/contemporary).
You may sing either in addition to or in lieu of a monologue, provided you do not exceed the two-minute time limit.

An audition accompanist will be provided.
Please bring multiple copies (approximately 25) of your headshot and resume. Headshot should be affixed to the back of your resume with tape, glue, or staples, with both items facing outward. Please do not bring headshots or resumes in folders or plastic sleeves.
Please make sure that the contact information on your resume (email and phone number) is correct.
The number of requested headshots may change with the number of participating theater companies. You will be notified how many copies to bring at least a week prior to the date of your scheduled audition.
Please note that in addition to the Unified Auditions, most theaters will also be holding additional auditions for their productions. An inability to participate in the Unified Auditions does not necessarily mean you will be unable to audition for specific shows at a future point in time. This is merely a chance to audition once, and be seen and considered for multiple theaters/shows in the same audition.

Auditions will take place at The Playhouse San Antonio, located at 800 W. Ashby Pl. You will have two minutes on stage in the

You will have exactly two minutes to use at your discretion, and may do any combination of audition pieces provided the total timing does not exceed two minutes. Timekeeping will begin as soon as you begin your piece – your introduction of yourself and your piece will not be included in the two minute time limit. Be aware that if your piece includes silent action prior to speaking, that action will be included in your audition time.
Please arrive early for your audition. If you miss your appointment time, there is no guarantee that you will be seen for an audition at all.
Every effort will be made to run on schedule.
