La Reina del Acordeón: Eva Ybarra’s Life On Stage
A story filled with passion, perseverance, and artistry – the qualities that make Eva Ybarra one of the most original and respected musicians in Conjunto and accordion music. Eva is a true legend who’s never shied away from a challenge – as a child prodigy she taught herself to play the accordion and grew to gain recognition despite being one of only a handful of female artists in an industry overwhelmingly dominated by men.
From South Texas dance halls and cantinas, to the stages of New York City and Puerto Rico, Eva continues to perform and has vowed to share her music and story with audiences until she can no longer do so. Incorporating live music, dramatizations, and film/multimedia elements, La Reina del Acordeón: Eva Ybarra’s Life on Stage will feature regional artists, musicians and Eva Ybarra herself.

La Reina del Acordeón will premier March 20 - 22 at the Guadalupe Theater. You can purchase tickets during normal business hours at the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center's offices or go to their website at www.guadalupeculturalarts.org for more ticket information.
